During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the convenience of being just steps away from the beach. It made it incredibly easy to take long walks on the shore and soak up the beautiful California sunshine. the hostel offered a great bargain with their affordable rates. At just $35 a night, it was the best bang for my buck.
the hostel had a requirement that guests needed to provide proof of travel, which was a hassle for me as I didn't have my passport with me. the AC in the rooms seemed to be constantly running, making the nights too cold for comfort.

I had an amazing time in this hostel! The location was perfect - just a short walk to the beach. The staff were friendly and always available to help. The room was clean and comfortable, and I even had access to streaming options like Hulu and Netflix. The breakfast provided was good, with a variety of options. Plus, I met people from all over the world and had a great time participating in the hostel's activities, like Taco Tuesday outings and music jam sessions. it felt like a home away from home.
The restroom facilities were a bit limited compared to the number of beds.

The hostel had a quiet atmosphere, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other hostels nearby. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel comfortable during my stay. Additionally, the location of the hostel was great, being close to the beach and offering easy access to nearby attractions.
Additionally, I had a negative experience with one particular staff member who was rude and unhelpful. They refused to check for a charger I had left in the restroom, causing me inconvenience and frustration.

The staff was absolutely amazing - so friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. the facilities were kept very clean, which was a huge plus. the location couldn't have been better; just seconds away from the beautiful Pacific Beach. It was so convenient to be able to rent surfboards and bikes right at the hostel. And let's not forget about the breakfast; it may have had limited hours, but it definitely hit the spot and fueled me up for the day.
That there weren't enough restrooms compared to the number of beds. It could get a bit crowded at times.

The staff at this hostel were absolutely incredible, ensuring that my stay was beyond amazing. The kitchen was not only clean, but also well looked after, making it a joy to cook my meals. The communal area was a jaw-dropping touch, perfect for relaxing in the late evening and watching Netflix on the comfy sofa. I had mind-blowing fun here and met the most amazing people. I would definitely recommend this place to any lone traveler looking for a super location, just meters away from the beach. The nearby pier offered a stunning view of the sunset, and there were plenty of fantastic restaurants and bars within walking distance. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, with curtains on every bed for that extra privacy. The hostel was small, cozy, and very chill, with easy access to a wide range of fun activities, like surfing lessons. The staff were always happy to assist with anything I needed. This place was a true VIP experience, with everything I needed on hand, from bikes and surf equipment to balls for the beach. The lockers provided peace of mind for storing valuables, although I never once felt like anyone would try to swipe my stuff. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the beds were extremely comfy. The friendly and welcoming personnel truly made this a can't-miss experience. I'd rate this place a perfect 10/10.
